Let’s get started and if you have any questions or comments, please post them in the comment box below.
I’ve said it once and I’ll keep saying it – research is the most important thing is you want to succeed. Many blogs have been doomed simply because they haven’t taken the time to do research. When you eliminate research out of the equation, you will write content without any substance. This means you’ll fail to build traction and cause any traction. It’s important you take the time to research everything so you stand out once you publish content. For example, let’s look at three ways to conduct the right research.
Google Keyword Planner – it’s a free tool where you can find related keywords and new keywords extending in searches. Go through the list and look for new keywords with search volume. You can then use them in your content and base your solutions around them.
Google Trends – a great way to find keywords which are trending and this gives you a chance to outshine your competition. Start with your target keyword and then collect others which are related to your target keyword. Add them to your content when you start to write. Since these are newer keywords, you’ll have an easier time ranking for them.
Google Search – this search engine has become more sophisticated over the years. Whenever you start to type in a search, you will see other search keywords and phrases appear which provide awesome content ideas. Google keeps track into what people are typing into the search engine to provide it as a popular search afterward. With that said, type in your keyword into the search engine and see what other search terms appear. Create a list and find creative ways to use them when creating content.
Now that you have your research done, you will have a better idea of what people are looking to read and you are now in a position to provide it for them going forward.
Social media has changed the way people interact and communicate all over the world. In blogging, what use to take 3 years to build your brand can now be done within a few minutes from a single tweet or post. You just have to focus on publishing high-quality content and making sure it beat all of your competitions. With that said, social media is free to implement and can be vital in building your presence online.
I recommend joining the top 3 social media networks and setting up accounts accordingly. For example, after registering be sure to add a description, images, and follow people in your niche. You’ll be surprised how many of them will follow you back right away.
Make sure every time you post content on your blog, you post them right away to social media. This will help you build traction and allow you to keep moving forward. Over time you will notice how people start to follow you and for that extra bang, you can focus on investing in some paid advertising if you want. I’ll be discussing this later. One of the biggest mistakes made by bloggers is that they don’t invest a lot of time in social media and planning their strategy.
You need to invest in website design because this will dictate how engaged people are on your site and content. The better the design, the more people can move around and find other content they want to read. For example, having a navigation bar with the right menu items is very important because it will allow your readers to go where they want to go. It will also force people to check out the other content you have published on your website. With that said, you want to focus on the following which will give your website that extra “wow” factor.
First, make sure you reduce clutter as much as possible so don’t add unnecessary banners and sidebars. Keep the sidebar to the right if you are going to add one. You can reduce clutter by making sure you space the wording (text) so people can read it very easily. Secondly, you want to make sure you keep the colors easy on the eyes so people are comfortable when they are on your website. You want the colors to be inviting and want to color’s to be easy on the side. If they are hard, then readers will leave because they’ll have a hard time reading content and browsing. Third, make it easy for readers to find out more about your website and your company. By this I mean, you should make it easy for them to contact you and read about your about us.
Another huge factor in creating success for yourself and your brand. Through outreach, you can connect with people in your niche and can connect with people who will skyrocket your traffic in minutes. If you can get your post published on a successful blog then this will help build your brand and build your traffic. Outreach was one of the main reasons why I was able to build momentum quickly.
