Blogging has a lot to do with habits because only then will you be able to discipline yourself to get stuff done. I can’t count the number of times I’ve sat down and haven’t been able to get any work done because of my bad habits. Before even starting my business, I had to fix all my habits. Trust me, if you don’t believe me then ask the most successful bloggers in this world and they’ll tell you the same. For you to be successful, you want to make sure you get things done, and this means sticking to a strong routine no matter what. This means working hard and making sure you get everything done that you had on your list. If you don’t them you can fall very far behind compared to your competition. With that said, we will be covering some awesome things today. I’ll be going over what I learned throughout the years and what others have been doing to stay competition. I also be discussing the most important things you should be paying attention to when getting started. With that said, let’s look at what we’ll be going through –

Secondly, we’ll be looking at the importance of getting up in the morning because this is the time you are most productive. Third, we’ll be going over the importance of exercise in blogging and how it can be used to motivate you. Fourth, we’ll be looking at the importance of establishing a solid writing routine. We’ll also be looking at establishing a solid research routine. In the end, I’ll finish it off with getting in the habit of finding time to yourself so you can unwind.

I’ll start off with this one because it is the most important when blogging. Pure research will allow you to gather the right facts and allow you to fid direction in a complicated industry. But, you need to know what you are looking for so should have a clear idea of your niche and the topics you want to start with. Then, you can proceed with further research finding keywords and more topics. Here are the top three ways to get started with your research –
First, you should use Google Trends because they will give you a breakdown of what keywords are trending. As a blogger, it’s important to get in the habit of using this tool. Secondly, you should also get in the habit of using Google Keywords Planner for related keyword research. This is an amazing tool giving you an awesome breakdown of some of the new keywords. It will also show you what keywords are being used by your competition. Third, get in the habit of doing a lot of your research through Google search. This will allow you to find some of the awesome new content and blogs popping up everywhere. With that said,

One of the greatest things you can do for yourself and your business is to get up in the morning. This is important because it will let you get a jump start on your work. If you do a quick search in Google, you will read how some of the most successful people in this world take time to exercise and be up early morning. It gives them a chance to get a jump start on their competition and get more done. By getting more done, you are staying productive and this is important to your bottom-line. However, you need to make it habit and this shouldn’t be only a single thing done once. For this reason, I want to go over some strategies which will help you get a jump start on your competition by rising early.
First, set an alarm clock for a time earlier than normal. I like to set three alarm clocks all 5-minutes from each other because this won’t let me go back to sleep. It’s also a good idea to activate the snooze button on your phone. This will ensure whenever you try and get back to sleep, you won’t be able to because the snooze button will keep going off. If you are living with someone, then maybe ask them to help you wake up. Tell them to not let you go back to sleep no matter what. Soon, you’ll get in the habit of getting up early and this is important when building your business.
One of the best things you can do for yourself is exercise because it keeps you motivated and healthy. That’s right, did you know 20 minutes of exercise is all it takes for you to get the endorphins released within your body. These endorphins help you fight depression and keep you motivated pushing you forwarded. With that said, you want to incorporate an exercise routine at least 2-3 times per week to feel the full benefits of it. Get started by doing a quick search online for free exercises and get started online. You can work out at home and don’t even need a lot of room. Next,
If you have some money to burn then you can think about joining a gym. However, you have to keep in mind that this can be expensive long-term. You will also have to keep an eye on your eating because this is crucial to the success of your routine. You need to get in the habit of writing content and this means to set out a time and day you feel comfortable. When I started blogging, I had a lot of trouble writing content because I couldn’t find the best time for me to sit down and write. I made the mistake of writing too late in the night and by then I was completely knocked out. This forced me to think outside of the box so I found what time works best for me. I encourage you to do the same.
Try out different timing until you find one which works best for you. It will take some time to find out what times you have energy and can keep writing when you need to. This is one of the most important habits because if you can’t write content consistently your blog will suffer because your audience will not have fresh content posted on your blog.
Take Time Out
You need some time to yourself so find time which works out best for you. You can’t be a workaholic because you will have a nervous breakdown if that happens. Take some time out on weekends to spend time with friends and family so you can unwind and loosen up. With that, you want to be strategic in the time you take because topo much time will push you back in your work.
Work out a schedule for yourself and stick with it. If you have been blogging for years, then you should know what works well and what doesn’t.
Reading for Knowledge
Blogging is all about staying ahead of your competition and one way to do this is by making sure you know more than they do. I encourage you to spend at least 1 hour each day reading new content within your niche. Not only will this make you smarter in your niche, but it will provide you with new content ideas afterward. You can read in the form of blogs, books and even magazines. If you get tired of reading, then you can always listen to audible and download books in your niche. When blogging you will need to build some new habits that will help you excel compared to everyone else. I’ll admit in the beginning this can be hard because it’s something that is new to you and not a pattern. However, overtime you will build new habits which will help you excel and these will lead you to outshine your competition with no problem.
